A few words about our exclusive grille inserts:
They're made from exterior grade plastic resins, and personalize your car like no other accessory can! They install in just minutes, without tools, with our exclusive (patent pending) mounting system.
Two mounting configurations are available for each style: Universal fit (see compatibility table), and Mazda Miata only (all model years). The universal fit kit ships with our exclusive mounting system, described below. This allows the teeth style to be changed IN SECONDS, as fast as you can change your mood! The Mazda Miata mounting uses existing holes in the grille, and we furnish all the mounting hardware you will need. Either way, no drilling or 'professional' (=$$) installation is needed. You'll be on your way in about one half hour!
| Materials and Maintenance: |
Our grille inserts are made from exterior grade polymers
made to withstand years of direct UV exposure. There is no painted surface to chip or peel.
Maintenance is the same as for your car's paint; wash with soapy water. By the way, you'll catch a lot of bugs,
so clean frequently to keep your teeth their whitest! |
|
|
| Installation for 'most cars': |
| First of all, installation is INCREDIBLY EASY. Anyone can
do it. These grille inserts are designed to be fully customizable to your vehicle, without any tools. Installation
on the vehicle is also tool-free. This works so well, we're patenting it! We use an exterior grade adhesive foam
tape, which will hold despite the nasty vibration environment of an automobile. There are no screws to come loose!
The compatibility
table lists the current crop of vehicles
which are good candidates for teeth. |
|
|
| The teeth come with a series of tabs along their mostly hidden mounting
surface. The picture above shows a set of Vampire teeth, from the back. |
|
|
| Here, we have customized a set of Jack O'Lantern teeth for a 2001 Honda
Civic. We've had to snap off 4 tabs to clear the vertical supports inside the Honda grille. |
|
|
| Now the mounting clips are slipped on before the whole shebang is installed.
Note how the teeth can be easily curved to give them a 3-D shape in the grille, however you think it looks best!
Adhesive tape & ties are applied just prior to final installation (see below for more detail) |
|
|
There ya go! Done & mounted, fully customized to the
vehicle! No tools needed, just clean mounting surfaces, and temperature above 60 degree F. The tape bond strength
will increase over the next 24 hrs, when it will be pretty much at full strength, so take it easy until then!
The cross-section views of the front of a car, below, show in more detail how the teeth are held in place with
a series of clips. This allows a change of teeth styles IN SECONDS once the installation is complete (which normally
takes about half an hour!). The view on the left shows a set of teeth installed, the view on the right shows what
the car will look like if the teeth are removed from the clips.
Each kit comes with 8 clips, 4 for the top, 4 for the bottom. Each one is capable of holding the entire weight
of the teeth, for plenty of redundancy. Additionally, all the wind load of driving only forces the teeth further
into the clips, so they are not going anywhere once installed. |
|
|
| You also have the option of producing a more theft-deterred
version of the installation, with only a small sacrifice in ease of style change. Every kit now comes equipped
with tie-wraps. These are the same type of plastic ties used as low-budget hand cuffs. They are placed around the
clips before (recommended) or after they have been installed on the car. The pictures below illustrate the addition
of the tie-wraps. The figure on the left shows view from the back-side of a set of teeth. A clip is installed without
a tie-wrap. The figure on the right shows the proper location of the tie-wrap. Notice how it sits in the notches
of the tabs which extend behind the teeth, and how it firmly holds the clip shut. The extra length of tie-wrap
can be cut off with scissors (OK, so technically the scissors ARE a tool, but c'mon, tools are what you keep in
the garage! You don't HAVE to cut them off, really, so we'll stick to our 'tool-free installation' claim) |

| Compatibility: |
The main criteria is a smooth flat surfaces at the top
and bottom of the grill opening. Having an opening 3 inches (8cm) or taller, and ideally, 5 inches (12cm) or more
in height really accentuates the effect. There are two main widths: 26 inch (Shark Attack) and 22 inch (Happy Car).
Your grill opening must be at least this wide, or the teeth will have to be trimmed before installation (which
is really not a big deal - the material cuts easily with fine toothed saws, utility knives, or even heavy scissors).
Please check the compatibility table
for the latest makes and models to find out if your car has the right stuff! |

| Tips and Tricks: |
We recommend that any vertical pillars or horizontal grille
structure be 'blacked out' before installation. This can be done easily with some black vinyl electrical tape,
or they can be painted black.
We sometimes put black electrical tape behind the lower teeth, on the mounting tabs, prior to installation. This
gives more contrast to the teeth, eliminating any white from showing from behind them. It's all a matter of looks!
Some customers have painted the back of their teeth the car color! |

| Upcoming Products: |
You can expect a light kit soon, which will be retrofittable
to any kit. We are currently in prototype testing, and it is looking d&%# good! Here's a sneak peak
of the Miata version!
Of course, we will introduce new styles from time to time, any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated,
just send us an email. You would be surprised at how much influence you have! |
