Our Story
Background
Miata 1
Once we took the Mazda Miata for a test drive, we were hooked. Our first
Miata was a brand new emerald green 1997 M Edition with a matching hard top and
the famous speakers in the head rest. We still miss that car from time to time.
We drove it for 11 years, but when it met its end in a non-injury freeway accident,
it had only 65,000 miles on it. The car still looked brand new. One of our favorite
accessories we had added to the M Edition was a grille insert product with teeth
in the shape of a happy smile. We loved it. It really gave our car the personality we
wanted it to display.
Miata 2
We went without a Miata for a year when we hit our tolerance limit, and in
2009 we went hunting for another 1997 Miata to replace the original car. After
looking for quite a while, we found one in terrific condition with about the same
odometer reading as our old car. The new-to-us Miata was a montego blue STO
Touring Edition. It was love at first sight. We really felt at home in this car, and
the car is now at home in our garage.
Enter the Teeth
One of the first accessories we looked to replace was the teeth grille insert
with the happy smile. The product we purchased before was sold by a web-based
company called Auto Expressions. We navigated to the site and found the owner
had the business up for sale.

Our full-time jobs are as a college professor and middle school teacher. We
normally have summers off, and we were looking for a way to occupy our time
without another full-time commitment. The Auto Expressions business was for
sale. It seemed like a good match so here we are.
The slope of the learning curve has been steep. We are bringing back the
products slowly over time. The prior owner has been extremely helpful in providing
guidance and support, and we are grateful.
Our commitments to quality and to using US suppliers are key to our philosophy
of delivering exceptional customer service. We won't offer a product or service
until we're convinced we can do it right--very right.

been bringing smiles to the Miata driving community since 1998. We hope to
